Using the 32 meg ram card doesn't effect the use of the left battery bay
for either the card adapter or a battery.  The batteries don't hold a huge
amount of charge even new, but they're good on the go when you need them.
There's several new-in-box batteries on ebay as well as the occasional PPC
upgrade and card adapter--tho the Rev C seems fairly rare.  I use mine
(with the PPC upgrade) to surf the web all the time--all you need is
patience.  :)
