There are a few pages online dealing with doing this with a 1400, and at least one that mentions the 190 in the same breath. Fwiw, I haven't had any luck with OS 8.1, though some reportedly have. 8.6 & 9.1 have yielded better (aka, "great") results, though slower performance overall running the newer OS on outdated processors.
