I don't know what the experience of people here is, but a few people I know have had Lombards and they didn't hold up well over the long-term--apparently, they weren't the only ones because there was an article last year on LEM about Lombards going bad before their time. I don't know if I would trust one based on what I have seen and heard. If we're going to start venturing into the world of the G-Books, the Pismo is a wonderful machine. If I were going to move up to something bigger and better than my 3400c, I'd try to land one of those, but of course they hold their value extremely well even now. The 3400 is a wonderful machine, clearly ahead of its time considering how much you can still do with one today (it will even run OS X 10.1.5, albeit very slowly), but if you're really looking to move up from a 1400/G3 and gain a lot of new capability, you might want to look all the way up at the Pismo. -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
