Well, the 5300 I got a few weeks ago cracked a hinge--big gap in the back, looks like the post may have broke. I can still carefully open/close it, but who knows for how long.
Would replacing the screen housing repair this? I just finished scrubbing the hard drive and re-installing everything. I didn't drop it, or abuse it--it was sitting all by itself when it popped--the port cover even came off and fell on the floor there! And I just got it set up to where I wanted it.
