If one is not trying to retain a " proper" ( read stuffy) professional decorum in naming drives there is nothing necessarily " cute " about naming drives and partitions with whatever names strike the imagination.

Psychologists have long noted the relationship of imagination in the way one files and organizes one's memories to the ability to recall them and use them creatively. Therefore fanciful names for drives can be seen as a technique of left brain right brain symbiotic thought.
