Hi,
Just subscribed to the list and failed to find what I was looking for by searching the archive, so I am going to appeal to your memories.
A couple of old articles on LowEndMac suggest that people on this list have managed to boot up their PBs from a CF card in the PCMCIA slot. I would really like to be able to do this with a 190cs and would be grateful for any instructions. It has 7.5.3 installed at the moment but I have a copy of 8.1 and might try to upgrade at the same time.
There was a long thread in just the last week about 1400 speed improvements, In one of the replies there were three or four URL's to 1400 specific sites, one of those has the instructions for doing what you want, which really isn't 1400 specific.
I have the url somewhere on my machine at work.
Google 'boot powerbook from CF' I'll bet it's pretty high up on the page.
Google knows all Google is your friend Google can help!
(I know, because Google always carries this book, you see, it's called 'To Serve Man'....)
