Hello,

I've probably missed the discussion on this in the past, but I have been
trying to get a USB PCI card to work in my powerwave. I obtained a cheap
card from cyberguys that said it would work with windows or macintosh (OS
8.6). I installed it in my machine and it shows up in the profiler as a pci
card, no description. I plugged in a smartmedia card reader (sandisk) and
it's little red light comes on, but the it does not show up on the desktop.
When a smart media card is plugged into the reader, a little green light is
supposed to come on, but it does not. Just to make sure that the device was
not defective, I took it home and plugged it into a windows 98 machine, and
it worked flawlessly. I have to admit that I know little of USB and its
workings. I'm wondering if the powerwave's PCI compliance is "modern"
enough. Anyone have any ideas on this? If it's my card, can someone suggest
a USB card that will work?
Thanks in advance,

Wayne
