If you're at all interested in learning *nix, install Yellow Dog Linux on 
it. It could be used as a home router as well, (though that's a little 
overkill if that's ALL you're using it for).

But now I've got a question for you Chuck.  What program are you using on 
the Mac SE for your 'recipe machine'?  I've thought of doing exactly that 
with one of mine, but don't know of a program that will fit into an SE.
