I just have to weigh in on this thread too.

I got a Logitech TrackMan Marble ...

This device has been on last legs forever-sometimes the
buttons stick  ...

Sounds like it might be easy to fix.

On my PC, I use a Microsoft Trackball Optical, which is the closest I can find comfort-wise to this first generation TrackMan Marble. Similar ergonomics, 4 buttons and a wheel, but no Mac software, I believe. Too bad, it is a really comfortable solution...it could replace that old Marble if it were compatible.

That is what I have been considering getting for my Macintosh PC. The model that is on the market now is Macintosh PC compatible as well as Windows XP & OpenStep X compatible.
