Hi Can someone explain to me how to use the filter condition "Folder Is:"? My situation is that I receive (and retain) digests from MacFixit.com, and these contain links to articles on the web, but these links are only valid for a few days. So any digests older than a few days are useless, and I wanted a filter that would run whenever new mail arrived and would move to the Mail Trash any message that is: 1) in the MacFixit folder that I have set up 2) older than 7 days , and 3) is Read.
The filter I set up was thus: <Filter incoming messages> <Folder is> "MacFixit <Date is> older than 7 days <Status is> READ ALL conditions are met... <Move message into folder> "Mail Trash" I put it high in the list so that no other filters would get activated before it and stop the filter being reached in the list, but it seems not to work, so I assume that I've misunderstood how the Folder Is part of it works.
