There's always Wayne's changeAccount script. So search for the account to be deleted and run this script on the selection. I'd do it maybe a couple of thousand messages at a time or more if you have a faster machine. I've forgot about the issues with deleting an account, but I think it's wise to change to an existing just in case. At a later time one can still differentiate with the TO-address.
