Daily QC checks are performed with a mixed Ba-133/Cs-137/Co-60 source when the WBC is in service. Pass/fail results are automatically printed out. We also participate in the Eckert & Ziegler Analytics annual confirmatory program where we receive a source of unknown activity and an unknown radionuclide mixture. We use a vendor to perform the calibration and the documentation is complete and has never been challenged, so I was stumped. We do QC checks on the daily performance to document the daily performance vs. the cal. What do you do for WBC calibration QA reviews? Especially if you use a vendor to perform the calibration.
