SONGS Response.
I am assuming you mean Efficiency calibrations not energy calibrations.
SONGS does it's own efficiency calibrations following detector maintenance
that would impact the detector efficiency or replacement of a detector or
as repeated failure of our QA trending counts (daily efficiency check,
monthly QAD, semi annual Eckert & Ziegler Analytics cross checks.)
To verify our efficiency calibrations we count a source 3 times in each of
our geometries using a phantom and the standard count and compute a %
bias. Acceptance criterial per our procedure is -15% to + 18% of the
true value for a standard count.

Subject: Powernet: QA of WBC calibration
Sent by: [email protected]

We were recently asked how we perform a QA of our WBC calibration. We use
a vendor to perform the calibration and the documentation is complete and
has never been challenged, so I was stumped. We do QC checks on the daily
performance to document the daily performance vs. the cal.

What do you do for WBC calibration QA reviews? Especially if you use a
vendor to perform the calibration.
