How do workers get EDs during non outages and outages? Non-outage: Dosimeters are in a box on the counter at the Access Senior’s desk. Outage: Workers must check in with the Access Senior to receive an ED. Are there workers assigned to check batteries in the EDs around the clock during outages and what is the frequency non-outage? No. We deploy freshly-calibrated ED’s for outages, so the batteries are in good shape. Non-outage – we plan our calibration cycle so we can replace ED’s prior to large-scale battery failure.
