I have been assigned to benchmark the industry practices on ED issuance and
return during outage and non outage. I am looking for information regarding
how and who.

Do workers have to hand in signed trip tickets in order to receive proper
dosimetry during outages?
No, trip tickets are optional. Workers must reverse brief with the JCC
technician prior to entering restricted area. They can use the trip ticket to
write down information.

How do workers get EDs during non outages and outages?
EDs are clipped to steel racks on the wall. During non-outage workers return
them there. During outage we often use boxes to drop them off due to quantity.

Are there workers assigned to check batteries in the EDs around the clock
during outages and what is the frequency non-outage?
No, batteries are changed during calibration and when ED goes into low battery
alarm.

Thank you for your help.
