Palo Verde went from using common CA hard hats to using hard hat covers about 2
years ago. The doffing process here, is to remove hard hat cover and place the
hard hat on the step off pad or hook by the step off pad. Please let me know
if you have any questions.

FENOC would like to know how workers handle their hard hat when exiting a
contaminated area.

1. Do they remove the hard hat, remove the p.c. hood, then replace hard
hat on bare head and proceed to remove protective clothing?

2. Remove the hard hat and place it on the step off pad or a table?

3. Utilize common contaminated area hard hats which remain in the area.

Response appreciated.
