D.C. Cook response:
IF hoods are required, then it is performed per #1. Hoods are not required in
all areas. Hard hat covers are also often used and those are typically removed
while on the head prior to hood removal if a hood is worn.

FENOC would like to know how workers handle their hard hat when exiting a
contaminated area.

1. Do they remove the hard hat, remove the p.c. hood, then replace hard
hat on bare head and proceed to remove protective clothing?

2. Remove the hard hat and place it on the step off pad or a table?

3. Utilize common contaminated area hard hats which remain in the area.

Response appreciated.
