In addition to #1, Browns Ferry also uses #3 during outages for areas like the

Subject: [powernet] Practice for Removing Hard Hats

TVA External Message. Please use caution when opening.
FENOC would like to know how workers handle their hard hat when exiting a
contaminated area.

1. Do they remove the hard hat, remove the p.c. hood, then replace hard
hat on bare head and proceed to remove protective clothing?

2. Remove the hard hat and place it on the step off pad or a table?

3. Utilize common contaminated area hard hats which remain in the area.

Response appreciated.
