Review Comment:
   > Maybe skip testing single column partition keys
   we already do that.
`org.apache.cassandra.distributed.test.cql3.SingleNodeTableWalkTest#selectColumn`
  relies on
`org.apache.cassandra.distributed.test.cql3.SingleNodeTableWalkTest.State#allowedToQuery`
 which has

   ```
   if (metadata.partitionKeyColumns().size() > 1)
                   allowedToQuery.add(ColumnKind.Partition);
   ```

   Honestly, this was done because of SAI and is 100% a hack...

   > Can this be null if there is no static column?

   `.addIf(State::allowNonPartitionQuery, this::nonPartitionQuery)`

   the if condition attempts to guard this function from getting called if the
schema doesn't work for it. Also this method can't return `null`, it will only
ever throw if it can't be executed against.
