DavidHave tried this with Windolene. It appears to make it worse, if anything.
It doesn't seem to be an exact science. Yes - I also got worse performance immediately after the Isopronynil process. But as the output wasn't totally consistent from one test to the next -I surmised that at least SOMETHING was changing. The dead areas were not always identical. Therefore I repeated the process at approximately 6 hour intervals, and after each time I did a couple of "cleanings" plus printing an image of 100 x 100 pixels of cmy and black to give it a chance to "shove" a load of ink through. It took about 3 days but ultimately it gave me a perfect result. As I said - I now intend to put a test print through every day. I have three printers for different purposes so otherwise it would be easy to inadvertently not use one for quite some time.
BTW - I'm going to take up Neil and Thomas's excellent pre Xmas offer and finally get my 1160 and 1290 profiled. I'm just now going through all the instructions and deciding on the paper. The inks are already decided.
