Hi Douglas, Thank you for your reply. The above happens to me too so, like you, I have got in the habit of starting Classic first and then subsequently opening PS. Yes, I've tried starting Classic from the System Preferences pane as well as rebuilding the desktop etc but with no joy. Strange that it has only been doing this today. It seems to be working fine now that I only have the necessary extensions activated... Thanks for your input.
