I have not moved on to 0SX as yet but if it is anything like the Unix system
my sgi runs you are able to set the time that the OS performs its
housekeeping which could be in the background during the day, although this
may slow your machine down a little. It may be more efficient to leave your
machine on overnight so that your daytime work is not compromised.
