Thanks for the tip Michael. > Seems rather strange if you have the latest drivers...you say > awful but > in what way exactly? Richard, I did a series of test last week on Epson 'Photo quality paper'. Working space Adobe RGB, print space Epson Pro 5000, perceptual. In the advanced settings it was set to colour adjustment, 'No Col adjustment' . Result very dark, looks like a 2 stop under exposed tranny. Also tried Pnt space: Printer col Man and in advanced, No Col adjustment with exactly the same result. Using Advanced 'No adjustment' and wking space and print space both as Adobe RGB, the result was the best, but it still looks a stop under. My old trick with the Mac used to be print/ working space Apple RGB and then ICM selected in advanced - used to be perfect. In summary, all print outs are very dark. I have no problem with my Canon and previously I had an Epson 1200 which worked fine and gave outputs to match my screen ( which was and still is Spyder / Optical calibrated). As I said a total mystery that that 1200 gave good colour on windows, the 5000 has always been an issue??
