Dear ThomasYou don't understand the power Richard. I could remote control anything that can be manipulated by mouse, or keyboard on you computer from Denmark if need be. It will of course be faster on a fast Ethernet connection than over the Internet.
I think perhaps we are at cross purposes<G>
The problem is that I want to place the scanner monitor a long, long way from the computer whose video card it is being fed from...we are talking of over thirty feet. Reason being that my wish is to have the drum scanners installed in the film processing lab where the ventilation system is all geared up to provide a high level of cleanness and is well sound insulated.
Although it would be an easy expedient to install monitors close to the scanners and the computers there, I would far rather bring the control and viewing into the editing room where one can glance out of a window from time to time and where all the normal office facilities are on hand.
Cheers
Richard
