Sounds like inconsistency between one brand of software and another. I am using Adaptec's DirectCD (UDF) software on my W2k system. It allows me to read and write to CD as if it were a logical system drive, but I can "finalize" the disc to the ISO9600 format. The finalized discs are readable by friends' Mac systems.
