Bob,

As someone has already mentioned, this current UK tax advantage is a little
grey in definition. I am not sure of the exact rules other than to say that
I have gained a tax saving from my local tax office through buying a high
end digital back and peripherals that can only be operated through the
software on an external computer, In other words they are useless by
themselves unlike the D1 or similar which you can point and click and store
an image within the equipment. This may be the grey area that others have
refered to and it is why I think buyers should check with their accountants
or tax office in advance if the cashback is relevant.
