Ian,
If you want to go A0 with a D100, get hold of genuine Fractals and check
with the clients repro house. They will probably only want the file at
A3 / A2, 200dpi or so, but photoshop is not the best for interpolation
beyond 200%. If you do have to use photoshop, get hold of Fred Miranda
(.com) 's Si  stair interpolation plug-in which will do the work for
you.

I often have to produce files for large repro and find that, depending
on the final output process, I usually produce a finalized, but
unsharpened file at 25% of the final size in RGB. The poster printers
are expert at this work and very often they will just sharpen the file
and let the printer RIP interpolate the file to final size.
