No I think this allowance is all about the government wanting business as a
whole to invest in up to date technology. They want us all on the web, using
electronic communications etc, at least that's what Tony Blair has committed
himself to. I don't think it's anything to do with resale values cause if
you sell it that's income and that's taxable as you have already had the
allowances. I don't think your right about lease hire either, I'm sure that
you have to purchase to be eligible for the allowance so presumably that
would be lease purchase or hire purchase!!
