I have also found this to be the case. Results have been unpredictable
though. Sometimes the metamerism is not to bad, but often it is completely
unacceptable. I can not spot a pattern to this, though I suspect there must
be one.

I am now trying to choose an alternative.

Should I stick with the Lyson DYE ink philosophy and try their SG set ?

Or, are pigment inks the way to go ? Is anyone using the new Permajet
range?

As I understand it, pigment inks can not be used on gloss/semi-gloss papers
but they do not suffer metamerism and have better longevity. Is this true ?

Is it really possible to produce photographic quality inkjets that can be
sold on with confidence ? And if so what ink/paper combinations ?
Personally, I would like a semi-gloss (silk/lustre) option, is it possible?
And also for a colour solution?

Sorry for so many questions but, it's a jungle out there, any
advise/pointers much appreciated.
Many thanks,

Simon
