If I enter a number in the first field of the Batch Rename dialog box and
then select Document Name in the second field and Extension in the third
field, the files are all renamed so that the original name and extension
remain but whatever number I entered in the first field is prefixed to all
the files I selected in the folder.
Is that what you are trying to do? If not, please can you elaborate a little
by example.
