I have just acquired an Epson 2200 and find, when properly profiled, that it gives excellent results. It is not quite as good as the result I get from a masked print of a transparency on Ilfochrome, but it comes close.
At this time, 2200 inks seem to be in limited supply. Epson says they will be available after 3/15.
