Hello Richard and all,

Having used Epson of various flavours since the early nineties, the S9000
was a refreshing change. Quiet, fast ( 1min for A4) and of moderate thirst
for ink. Prior to purchase I had test prints sent by Epson (1290), HP and
Canon. Their was simply no contest between them, the 9000 was enormously
superior. A friend has recently been setting up his 2100 and has been using
my Canon print as his reference. he has now equalled, but not surpassed it.
The 9000 has just been replaced by the i9100 which is apparently finer
still.

I print on Canon photo paper pro ( heavy wt quality gloss), Epson papers and
Somerset Enhanced Velvet paper with great success. There is only one
downside: Prints have to be put behind glass to preserve them. In open air,
life is short; behind glass, I have one on a sunny wall showing no ill
effects at a year (printer has only been out a year..

Now Richard, send me a file ( A5ish) and I'll send you the test print...<G>

Nick WB.
