Hi My 2c worth to the topic...
As someone who (part-time) 'teaches' photography (adult classes - a real challenge to your own understanding of the subject ;-)) I'm finding the digital world a challenge and adventure... I can put my 'techy' hat on and wax lyrical about curves and histograms or I can watch a print coming out of a printer and bemoan the loss of that joy we all felt the first time we saw an image appear on a blank sheet of paper in a developing tray. For my own work I've moved to fully digital, except for my B/W landscape stuff where (for the time being) the actual image capture still involves film. I've been fortunate perhaps, in that clients who've wanted images digitally, have been relatively technically savvy. I personally enjoy that extra bit of control that the digital process brings (to me) Perhaps it's because one of my other hats is a techy one (sorting Mac problems for people) that I can comfortably(ish) adapt? The fear that we might have is normal aversion to change. When it comes down to it, we are the ones with the vision to create the images - the arguments about technology may have shifted from Metol to Megapixels - but they're just tools really :-)) :-)) bye for now Keith Cooper Northlight Images http://northlight-images.co.uk Photography - Digital Imaging - Apple Mac Consultancy Tel +44 (0)116 291 9092 Mobile +44 (0)780 162 9397 =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
