I suspect Philip is a Nikon lens owner given the cameras he has mentioned, but for what its worth, I can confirm that my very limited use of the 10D, which was delivered just two days ago, has comfortably exceeded all my quality expectations and I'd be more than happy to compare its images to any of the cameras mentioned below.
