Paul

I did some tests shooting a greyscale and auto mode and also in manual mode
using a Minolta incident and a Pentax spot. While the hand held meters gave
almost identical readings, the exposure produced using the inbuilt meter
produced images that were at least a stop underexposed (possibly a stop and
a third but I threw away the readings and images recently - why is it you
always need things just after you throw them away?).

I went to Focus with a fellow ProDig member, who also owns an S2. He knew
the Fuji rep so we asked him about the under exposure. I have to say, his
attitude, though jovial, put me right off him. Instead of giving a viable
explanation, he rambled on about things that only lunnies see...One thing he
did say in parting was that "You do not want it to overexpose." Well, that
sorta makes sense but doesn't explain why so many people are saying it
underexposes enough to worry them. The other was to return it and have it
reset...Hmmm...I suppose you have to press the shutter to take a pic
too...<G>

Any chance of seeing some examples?

Haven't heard that one...I know some models had a potential power failure
but not shutter. Where can we see the serial numbers?
