Hi Denis

Again I would point you to www.luminous-landscapes.com (can't remember the
exact address right now).

There is are v comprehensive reviews of various Canon lenses, including the
16-35mm f/2.8 (roughly equivalent to 25-56mm) . I have one of these and it
really is superb, very sharp & I haven't had any of the posted problems with
focussing, etc (lens or camera). Initially I thought of getting the prime
lens equivalents, but decided to opt for the zoom which would protect
against dust getting inside the body (as some of my work is location,
sometimes not the most pleasant locations at that!). If this is not a
consideration for you, you're probably slightly better off with primes.

I've got a 50mm f/1.4 arriving today (equivalent to 80mm). This is covered
in the above reviews. Price is excellent and I hope the quality will be too
(will find out soon).

Best wishes,
Tariq
