As has been said it can be done with scripting and the like... Some very good reasons as to why it's often a waste of time are given at this site <http://www.sitepoint.com/article/748> You might be tempted by something like <http://javascript.internet.com/page-details/disable-images-click.html> but I was able to save their protected image with no great effort (IE5 MacOS9) For myself, I just can't be bothered... If someone -really- wants one of my images they can just capture the screen whatever I do. Sure I could hassle potential viewers with all kinds of Flash and other paraphernalia (especially good for hindering navigation and usability in the guise of 'arty' interfaces :-) If I want to make the images freely visible on the web then I know there may be some 'usage'. While I'll keep an eye out for external linking and commercial misuse, I dont think that disabling copying is going to make much difference (IMHO). Do a search on 'disabling right clicks' and you will find no end of hopeful solutions! bye for now Keith Cooper Northlight Images http://northlight-images.co.uk Photography - Digital Imaging - Apple Mac Consultancy Tel +44 (0)116 291 9092 Mobile +44 (0)780 162 9397 =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
