[PRODIG] Scanner purchase options

Looking to buy additional scanners and would appreciate any feedback from 
list members. We have had a couple of Epsons, incl. the 3200 which is a 
very capable beast and have also had a Linoscan 1440. Very good scans but I 
find LinoColor kinda unfriendly (to put it mildly). I have used both of 
them now with their own software as well as Vuescan.

I'm cruising through scanner specs and the Umax 1120s look very good but 
much more expensive than the Epsons. Does anyone have any experience of 
these Umaxes, good/bad/indifferent? The resolution is good (but not THAT 
good), the DMax seems good (but not much different to the Epsons), though 
the 1120 Photo comes with Silverfast. It's also nearly three times the 
price of the Epson. Gulp.

The other one I'm looking at the is the MicroTek ArtixScan 120tf for medium 
format film. Again, the specs look impressive, but there's nothing to beat 
comments from users. As in: "Best thing since Sliced Bread" or "Don't touch 
with barge pole"...

Any comments from users?
