Been running OS X Jaguar since it first came out. No need for a 'safe mode'
or 'go back' as the old extension conflict seems to be a thing of the past.
I had one panic period when apps started to crawl and I ended up watching
the beach ball for endless minutes at a time.
The list came to the rescue! I think it was OS X evangelist Paul Bradforth.
<g> I tried Macaroni and then the free Macjanitor to do the housekeeping
that OS X does automatically if you leave it on 24/7. No problems since and
I now run Macjanitor regularly.
