AFAIK, you won't be able to run OS 9x, only Classic. So no more sneaky boots
behind the OS X's back, as it were.

Personally, I would partition the160 GB HD into two, even though there is a
small loss in seek time. It makes it easier to optimise the HD.

I would use the first partition for the OSs and apps and the second for
storing files. 

I would also install a second HD and partition it into two or even three
partitions and give the outside, first, partition to Photoshop to scratch on
and use the second/third for backup/storage and as second/third scratch
disks.

Running Photoshop from the same HDD as its scratch disk and the OS VM is NOT
recommended.
