Once again I'm your duty list mum, so anyone questions please contact me direct off list.
You will all have noticed that last week Michael Shaffer announced that would be his last week as a list mum as a new work project is going to command all his attention. Michael has been a list mum for a exactly a month short of 2 years. So on that reckoning he has given us all on the list 182 days of undivided attention to what we have been writing. Thank you for that and we look forward to your continued contributions to the list when you find time.
In sending my own personal thanks to Michael I am also including the following message from Ed, the list owner who is away this week and unable to post it himself.
"Michael has given us a great contribution by being our North American listmom for the last year or more. He has been an excellent firm hand on the rudder and never skipped a beat. As with the nature of Lists, I have never met Michael face to face but I have the deepest respect for him and wish him well working on research which he has been waiting a long time for."
As duty list mum I have decided that (at the risk of embarrassing Michael) any other messages of gratitude to him will be considered on-topic for today :-)
