You will all have noticed that last week Michael Shaffer announced that would be his last week as a list mum as a new work project is going to command all his attention. Michael has been a list mum for a exactly a month short of 2 years. So on that reckoning he has given us all on the list 182 days of undivided attention to what we have been writing. Thank you for that and we look forward to your continued contributions to the list when you find time.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity of expressing our thanks to Michael for his tour of duty as a list mum here.
When David Tingey retired from the list mum team due to his moving to China in 2001, I put forward Michael's name for consideration as his replacement. Michael has since proved to be always willing to put himself out to help posters wherever possible, and offering guidance when needed. As part of the team he has been good to work with and very dependable, and has brought his own style from the other side of the pond.
Being a list mum for Prodig involves being available for the whole of the seven days of one's duty week. It means reading all the postings and trying to keep the list smoothly running within the guidelines laid down ....not always as easy as it sounds, and sometime quite time consuming.
Thank you Michael for your commitment and efforts, and best wishes for your new job responsibilities ...sounds very exciting.
