do the specs appear in the same place on subsequent scans? if they are in the same place, its dirt embedded in the emulsion, a problem I had with neg film (showing as white spots) when I had it processed at METRO, showing up at its worse with even blue skys. Flextouch sorted this out, without degrading the scan overly. And I shifted labs to Isis. It was a problem with the final wash(&rinse?) not being changed regularly. I knew of other people who had the same problem at the time. I found different scanning resolutions need different flextouch settings, and previewing the result using the detail function, you could tailor the result. Imacon sharpening is at zero supposedly when set to -120 Hope this helps, Michael W =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
