Thousands of tiny black spots..... quite simply. Visable at 200% and noticable at
100%. If i apply any global USM they become very apparent. I have seen it with RVP, in
particular, and only with colour positive film. I should add that on every occasion
the film has come directly from the lab.

An image which light tonally, or has any skin, is unusable, in my opinion,
while these dots appear.

When scanning I set the USM to zero and apply a limit of 40 to flextouch.

Hi Micheal,

I will test further with your suggestions and see how the problem progresses.
Interestingly enough the problem films have come from the same lab, which is different
to my normal one... Thanks a bunch...BTW have you found a safe maximum settinf for
flextouch?

kind regards,

Alan
