There is a saying 'if it ain't broke don't fix it.' Perhaps worth rethinking? Sometimes the grief and loss of production totally nullifies any possible gains.
I probably should have added that Photoshop CS, which incorporates Adobe Camera Raw and has various other features I'm keen to use, only works on OSX.
