You can't connect with Firewire or USB 2.0 to your camera. You need to  
buy a Firewire or USB 2.0 card reader. (this is a box on the end of a  
cable into which you insert the compactflash card from your camera).

Depending on the age  of your PC it may have a USB 2.0 connection. It's  
unlikely to have Firewire.
