Dear Bob

I think we had this argument before. Having Dan's book on my bedside at the moment, (What we do for kicks I hear you say,) I think he is a calibrationist but not an ICC convert.

I am coming round to a view halfway.

1/ Dump everything through the ICC workflow a la Bruce Frazer.

2/ Select what needs tweaking and revert to Dan Margulis.

Having had to deal with RGB > CMYK conversions for the first time, (I previously instructed bureaux), I am getting to much greater grips with the technicalities.

Having had untold difficulties with "sodding" inkjet printers I am amazed at the ease of RGB to CMYK conversions when working to the "correct" parameters.

Regards

Bob Croxford

Although Dan is can often be seen as an anticalibrationist ,thus
offending us ICC zealots , the book is a treasure mine of CMYK info.
