We've got a fair amount of use with another back in 16 pop mode - 
eyelike MF. Used the 16 pop mode for large format output  for trade show 
booth graphics with great success.

We'd be glad to see what you've got. I'd guess you may be seeing a 
peculiar artifact that looks like 'zipper tracks' at the edges of 
highlights.
