A checkerboard pattern usually comes about with variance in flash output over the 16 shots, however this doesn't look like that. There are a couple of possibles with the Sinar - 1 is the camera has moved slightly during exposure, and - 2 the back needs a piezo calibration, (or a combination of both) You need the piezo calibration chart that should have come with your back, then run thru the on screen instructions in Captureshop. Also the quality of your lens will be more critical in 16shot mode. Personally I've never got good 16 shots out of the Sinar, our Imacon is excellent at it!
