Having been on this scenario for a week now, I can accept that the mac is seeing the cups driver as opposed to the newly installed driver. I have trashed all the 1160 driver and preferences that I can find, and still see Epson Stylus Color 1160 CUPS+Gimp-print V4.2.5 in the Printer utility/info window.
When attempting to install the new driver, it indicates that it is an upgrade and not a full install. Just need to know how to remove the CUPS version in order to install the new downloaded version.
Assuming that other users out there are able to print in OSX (Panther) and have the ability to switch off color management on an 1160?
I resisted the move from OS9.2 to OS X because of these problems, but my hand was forced with CS and Capture One for a H25 now only OS X.
